Anyone care to guess what this is.
Yesterday, Ellie came into my bedroom and I gasped out loud. You probably could have heard the gasp all the way across the country I was so stunned. Apparently she found a pair of scissors in my purse (yes, I carry them to clip coupons) and had sat down in her happy little chair while I went upstairs and CUT HER DRESS.
I'm so thankful she didn't get hurt and that it was only her dress and not her finger or hair or something worse. But, still .. it was such a cute little dress. *sigh* I've decided we have to install more childproof locks and hide the scissors better. I didn't have a clue she could even use scissors. Guess I do now.

OOps. Coulda been her hair!
That IS a cute little dress, and with the pattern being so busy and small, I bet you could stitch it back together and it would never or barely even be noticed.
Wish I lived near you guys, I would love to go to that consignment sale with you. I love used kids sales and I love coupons too!! And with our kids being so close in age (My boy about 18 months younger than Josh and my girl about the same amount older than Ellie) I bet we'd have fun!
Oh no! So glad it wasn't her sweet little hair or worse! You just never realize what toddlers are capable of!
Yikes. So glad it was just the dress. And I agree, you could probably stitch the dress where you might not even notice.
Oh no she didn't! Oops. Well, I have to agree- at least it wasn't her hair!
I would gasp, too! I am amazed at her manual dexterity, I must say. She sounds like a girl who WILL cut her hair at some point.
put a cute patch over the spot!! raggedy ann and andy or something to match the dress!
I could hear you all the way up in Kentucky:)
Probably my fault for keeping you on the phone. At least it wasn't her hair!
