We Will NOT Have Sleep Issues in 2010 -- right?

Ok, so for the last few nights Ellie has NOT wanted to go to sleep for anything. Tonight, it took TWO AND A HALF HOURS to get her to sleep. She finally drifted off a little after 10:00 tonight.

Now, granted, she might sleep until 8:30 tomorrow (or might be up at 6:30, who knows???), but this new going to bed really late stuff just isn't going to work so much with our schedules. :-)

We're trying to wean her from her bedtime bottle (really the only one she still has) and that might have something to do with it, but she still gets a half bottle and then a bottle with some water (to wash the milk off the teeth), but I truly don't think it's that.

Tonight she was jumping in the bed, doing dance moves of some sort, playing with her babies, playing the musical ones, kissing babies, talking, singing -- just whatever she could do to pass the time. She didn't cry, but she definitely was not going to sleep. We'd go in to check on her and she was just wide awake.

I'm wondering if it's part of her recent growth spurt and desire to eat everything that isn't nailed down??

I suppose we shall soon see.

I'm with you. Andrew recently has started screaming in the middle of the night. One night he did it every hour. Ah!!!!!!!!!!! I was so tired the next day. I think he may be having night terrors again. Right when you think there past something, it seems to come back. Hopefully we will both have good nights to come in 2010.

We have that problem too. E. no longer sleeps through the night and starts crying sometime between midnight and 2 a.m. and has to come into our bed so that we can all get back to sleep asap. The interruption of sleep is starting to give me frequent migraines! I hope it's a short-lived growth spurt!
