Grandmother

My grandmother was taken to the hospital last night after a fall. They have admitted her and thought she had pneumonia. Turns out it is her congestive heart failure and fluids have built up around her heart and in her lungs. She is on some high level antibiotics, but when we went to visit her tonight, she didn't look or sound very good. She did, however, report that she was feeling some better. She felt like she had a fever to me, too. I took Ellie and Josh to see her; Josh is her absolute favorite person in the world, I think. She just lights up when she sees him. I remember when he was little and called her "granmuddr". It was so sweet. I didn't want to take a chance that something will happen to her, and we didn't get a chance to see her and visit with her.

Granted, she's a strong woman and has pulled through many things before. But, she did tell one of her pastor friends that she was "ready to go". I don't think I'd be sad for her if she went home -- she's ready and the Lord knows it will be an upgrade to get to heaven. Who could be sad for someone headed there? I'm not saying I wouldn't miss her, but I know she's had a long life and that I will spend eternity with her.

If you can spare a prayer or two for her health, would you?

Wishing your grandmother all the best... but it sounds like she already has it.

*hugs*
